Otelco Blountsville, AL offers new IPTV Video

On December 1, 2008, the Blountsville, AL division of Otelco began offering digital television to customers in the Blountsville area.  It is delivered into customers' homes through technology known as "Internet Protocol Television," or IPTV, using telephone lines in the same manner as digital subscriber line (DSL) internet, rather than coaxial cable.

The service offers over 100 channels of TV programming and music in the entry level Digital Family package.  Optional premium channels, such as HBO/Max, Starz, and Television en Espanol,  as well as many popular high definition channels are also available as choices.
